Yahoo Research

In a collaborative effort with Yahoo Research, I led the update of their website to embody the new Yahoo branding and design elements. Utilizing the Yahoo design system, I implemented a modern look featuring updated UI elements, fonts, colors, and gradients. Working closely with a developer, we fine-tuned the sitemap for simplified navigation.

Introduction

Overview

Revamping the Yahoo Research micro-site was essential to address challenges in finding individual researchers and navigating the existing complex sitemap.

In collaboration with our developers, I streamlined the site map for improved navigation, introducing reusable components and UI patterns.

The user-friendly design, overseen by me, prioritized key areas like individual researcher profiles, Research Areas, Publications, and Datasets, featuring a prominent "Getting Started" module.

The homepage showcased the Research Team with a dynamic graphic and informative introduction. Personally overseeing the design process, I added creative touches, including custom icons for the Publication Card section.

The result is a visually stunning and easily navigable website, enhancing the user experience for visitors in search of specific researchers, articles, or publications.
